Daniel “Bolas” Rodriguez, 67 of Greeley, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit.
He was born on January 29, 1945 in Natalia, Texas to Pedro & Joaquina (Ybarra) Rodriguez, Sr. He worked for Monfort Feedlots in Greeley and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to Central City, singing, playing guitar, fishing, and watching the Rockies and the Broncos. He mostly enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends.
He is survived by his sons; Ronnie Lopez, Daniel Rodriguez, Jr. and Dion Rodriguez, his daughters; Nicole Rodriguez, Denise Rodriguez, Dana Lucero, Danielle Avila, and Lori Cervantes, his sisters; Teresa McNeill, Aurora Moreno, Bowdiie (Fred) Hernandez, Rachel (Bob) Naranjo, Janie Rodriguez (Leo Naranjo), Rosa (Herman) Naranjo, his brothers; Pete (Petra) Rodriguez, Jim (Vicky) Rodriguez, John (Terri) Rodriguez, Robert (Kim) Rodriguez, and Chavelo Rodriguez, a friend, Robin Flores, and 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ma Elena Lopez, his parents, Pedro & Joaquina Rodriguez, nephews, Jacob & Daniel Rodriguez, his sister, Maria Olvera, and his brothers-in-law, Keith McNeill & Pete Moreno.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12th followed by the Rosary which will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street in Greeley. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
