Helen Noel Harling, 86, mother, avid reader, storyteller, and dog lover, died April 24, 2012 at her home in Fairacres Manor of Greeley.
She was the youngest of 9 children born to John and Mary Jane Noel on September 29, 1925 in Windsor, Missouri.
She married Robert Harling in 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa and moved with her family to Colorado in 1969. She and Bob resided in Estes Park, Greeley, and Fort Collins. After Bob’s death in 1989, she moved to Lakewood before returning to Greeley in 2006. She was proud of her children, loved having her bookcase filled with books and a large variety of stuffed animals and always had a story to tell her staff family at Fairacres.
She is survived by her children: Linda Harling, Debbie & Jim Horst, and Bob & Laura Harling (Fort Morgan and Grand County). Grandchildren: Rob Harling, Dash Harling, Andy Horst and Libby Harling, and her two dog grandchildren: Liam and Seth.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.
A celebration of life and stories will be held at Fairacres Manor on Tuesday, May 1st at 1:30 p.m.
