He was born August 12, 1946 to Don G. Anderson Jr. and Colleen Spencer Anderson in Greely, CO.
Barry lived his entire life in Eaton. He attended school in Eaton graduating in 1964. Barry attended college at CSU where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and where he received a BS in Agriculture in 1969. Ten days after graduation he married his college sweetheart Barbara Trobaugh. During the same period he joined the CO Air National Guard and honorably served there for six years. Barry joined the family farming and cattle feeding business in Eaton after college and continued working there until his death. From 1972 until 1995 the family also owned and operated the TR ranch in Grover, CO.
Barry had several interests which he enjoyed greatly. He was knowledgeable about water issues in Northern Colorado and served on the Board of Directors for Larimer and Weld Irrigation Company, WRCC, Larimer and Weld Reservoir Company, Cache La Poudre Water Users and the Lucas Lateral Ditch Company.
In addition to serving with numerous water companies, Barry served on the Board of Directors for Centennial Bank until it sold and then joined the Farmers Bank of Ault, again serving on the Board of Directors until his passing. Barry was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church of Eaton-Ault and he sang for twenty years as a member of the Someday Quartet.
His greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted caretaker for his disabled daughter Ami, a supportive and loving role model for his son Cade, and he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Barry is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Ami, his son Cade and his wife Wendy, grandchildren Laney and Luke, his Mother, Colleen Dotson and his sisters, Cris Nicklas and husband Wray and Gayle Rossman along with several nieces and nephews.
