Robert “Bob” Wolf of Eaton. On Saturday January 12, 2013, Robert “Bob” Wolf lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 75.
Bob was born to Mike and Martha (Bauer) Wolf on September 6, 1937 at Weld County General Hospital in Greeley. He grew up on farms in the Eaton area and attended Buell and Eaton Schools.
In 1957, he entered the U.S. Army. He served with pride and honor in the 82nd Airborne Division. A parachuting accident cut his military career short and he was honorably discharged in 1959.
On December 26, 1959, Bob and Dona Sebald were united in marriage. They have two children, Chris (Sally) Wolf of Fort Collins and Shelley (Bruce) Carr of Cumming, Georgia.
During his career, Bob worked for Agland (now Agfinity). He retired from Agland in 2006. In 1972, Bob joined the Eaton Police Department as a reserve officer and eventually became full-time. He was the chief of police from 1975 to 1985. After retirement, he became an active volunteer at Northern Colorado Medical Center where he made many friends.
Bob was an active member of Saint John’s United Church of Christ since he was a child.
He is survived by his wife, his two children, three grandchildren, Aaron and Emily Carr of Georgia and Zane Wolf of Fort Collins, four step-grandchildren, Blake, Justin, Jill, and Jacob Rowell of Fort Collins, a brother, Richard (Bernice) Wolf of Ault, and two sisters, Germaine Adkisson and Colleen (Pete) Denzin both of Greeley.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint John’s United Church of Christ, 3815 W. 20th Street, Greeley. In lieu of flowers, contributions for Hospice or Saint Johns can be sent care of Moser Funeral Services, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620.
