Bill Rieger

William (Bill) Joe Rieger, 45, of Evans. On February 2, 2013, just short of his 46th birthday, Bill’s life came to an end due to an automobile accident.

Bill was born on February 10, 1967 to Richard and Mary Ellen (Cozad) Rieger in Leadville, Colorado. Within the first year of his life he had open heart surgery. Having to move from the high country, his family moved to Greeley. A couple years later the family moved to Evans where Bill has lived ever since. He graduated from Greeley West High in 1985. Bill enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, cruising back roads, talking to friends and having fun. He enjoyed the mountains, the outdoors and travel. He was an avid dart player, liked bike riding and walking.

Bill worked at a variety of jobs including caregiver where he earned his CNA license, construction, fast food and as a truck driver. Throughout his life, Bill was a caring and helpful person to those in need including his mother and father, grandmother, aunt and others. The loss of his parents really set him back. As Bill missed his parents, he too will be sadly missed.

Survivors include sisters Jeanette & Keith Lambert of Pensacola, Florida and Sharon & David Nelson of Parker, Colorado, a niece, Amber, a nephew, Matthew, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
