Dear Deb and family, please know that we are sending our thoughts to you during this time. My son Micah was in pre-school at Busy Bees and adored his Ms. Kay. She was a wonderful teacher and will be missed by all lives she's touched.

I am very sad to hear of Mrs. Lenhart's passing. When I was a brand-new teacher's aide at Brentwood, I worked under several teachers; she was my favorite. She was kind, full of enthusiasm, and interested in hearing about my life and those of my children. Whenever I'd run into her in later years, she was always delightful. My condolences to her family.

Dear Deb and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. It is hard to believe Kay is gone. She was a part of my life that makes me smile. She loved you all so very much as she always talked about you. I will not be able to attend her memorial as I have to be out of town. Know that I will be thinking of you. Leslie Vail and family

I first met Kay in 1975. I was working as a crossing guard at Meeker Elementary School. Kay approached me one day and introduced herself and explained that she was the crossing guard for Meeker at 20th St. and 28th Ave. She asked if I would consider switching locations with her because Debbie attended Meeker and Kay thought it would make Debbie happy to see her Mom there. I did not switch. Then a few months later, Kay, Bob, Debbie, and Doug moved into the house across the street from mine. She must have forgiven me because we not only became neighbors but a special friendship also grew! God must have had a special plan for our friendship because it saw us through 37 years. I am proud to call Kay my friend. She was a very special lady and I will think of her often. I will love and remember her always. Her kindness and love will forever be in my heart. With love and sympathy for Debbie,Tony and Taylor. Linda (Waterman) Fiscus

I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Lenhart as my teacher at Brentwood Middle School. She always made Social Studies as entertaining as she could. She was kind-hearted and had an infectious laugh. My deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones.
