Mario Alberto Vasquez, 65, of Greeley, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his home in Greeley and was surrounded by family and friends. He died happy and peacefully.
Mario A. Vasquez was born September 29, 1958, in Batesville, Texas, to Ramon P. and Beatrice (Lopez) Vasquez.
Mr. Vasquez enjoyed classic cars, playing pool, listening to Spanish music, and watching television especially his favorite show "The Golden Girls." He also enjoyed watching football and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. Mario enjoyed spending time with his family. Mario enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Mr. Vasquez had an extraordinarily strong faith in God. He always claimed how God was always with him and provided for all his needs. He touched many lives and was touched by many that he encountered.
He is survived by his eight siblings: Edward Vasquez of Kerrville, TX, Mona Vasquez-Neuenfeldt (Robert) of Robbinsdale, MN, Elida Trevino (Benancio) of Uvalde, TX, Ray Vasquez of Greeley, CO, Lupe Bodie (Bill) of Kerrville, TX, Sylvia Dann of Evans, CO, Juanita Kruchten (Lawrence) of Webster, MN, and Rosie Gurrola (Javier) of Greeley, CO. and too many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends to list.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Beatrice, and brother, Arturo Vasquez.
A visitation will be held from 9-11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.
The reception open house will be from 1-4:00 p.m. at 1931Cherry Avenue, Greeley, CO.
