Brandon Hoyland was born on October 11, 1984, in Rapid City, SD, and passed away on June 24, 2025, in Gilbert, AZ. He was raised in Greeley, CO, after his family moved there in 1988. Brandon graduated from Greeley West High School in 2001, where he excelled in Swimming and Diving and also played baseball and football.
A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, Brandon's first job was as a cart boy at Broncos Training Camp during its final two years in Greeley. Beyond football, he had a passion for fishing, golfing, traveling, and animals. He loved spending time outdoors, whether in the mountains, the desert, or by the ocean. His heart was also full of love for his nieces and nephews, who were a constant joy in his life.
Brandon earned his degree in Wildlife Biology and Ecology from Colorado State University in 2008. While at CSU, he worked as a cook to support himself and discovered a deep love for culinary arts. This passion eventually led him to pursue a career as a chef, where he worked his way up to the position of Executive Chef.
In 2015, Brandon moved to Arizona, and in 2017, he met the love of his life, DeAnna Betzel Lecero. The two were married on May 24, 2021. Brandon served as the Director of Culinary Services and Executive Chef at Cadence Chandler in Chandler, AZ, and made his home in Gilbert, AZ.
