Connie Gay Navarrete, 74, of Platteville, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. She was born on June 12, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Ila Delila Temple and Frank Hanes Alloway.
Connie worked at a flower shop for many years, where she shared her creativity and warm spirit with all who knew her. She was a lover of softball. She was a flagger for Best-Way Paving for multiple years. She also worked very hard in the potato fields. After many years of hard work and dedication, she retired to enjoy time with her family and the simple joys of life she cherished most.
Connie was known for her strong will and caring heart. Though she could be stubborn, she had a deep love for her family and was always checking in on those she cared about. She found great joy in making her homemade salsa, pumpkin pies, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Lee Navarrete Jr., Robert Rex Navarrete, and Rickie Ray Navarrete (Sheryl Leigh Navarrete). She was the proud grandmother of Jazmin Raleine Sickler, Imari Alice Littlejohn, Rickie Ray Navarrete Jr., Aunisti Leigh Navarrete, and Marcus Anthony Navarrete. Connie was also a devoted great-grandmother to Dezmond Tavon Roy Sickler, Sincere Travon King Sickler, Mazikeen Diane Navarrete, Zariah Harmony Littlejohn, Azeihl Talia JoAnn Sickler-Walker, and her soon-to-arrive great-granddaughter, Baby Girl Sickler-Walker. She is also survived by multiple great-nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Sandy Mitchell, Laurie Renae Smith, and Michael Wayne Temple.
Connie is preceded in death by her mother, Ila Delila Temple; father, Frank Hanes Alloway; and siblings, Rex Wayne Alloway, Linda Jay McClure, and Gary Lane Alloway
Connie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and love.
