Debra Jean Kopcho, 69, of Evans, Colorado, known to many as Debbie, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2024, at Broadview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Greeley, Colorado.
Debra Jean was born on March 18, 1954, in Elizabeth, New Jersey and grew up in Avenel. Debbie was the 2nd born of 8 siblings. Her parents were Charles Kopcho and Joan Dudley Kinsey.
Debra went to Avenel St School 4&5, Avenel JHS and Colonia HS. She then performed nursing work and studies in Colorado before returning home to New Jersey. Her pride and joy was her son Jimi. Debbie loved her Ford truck and her life partner of 33 years Wilmer "Curly" Hall.
Throughout her life Debbie had a love for time spent with family, friends, and time outdoors. She especially liked going on bike runs, camping and taking pictures. In 2006 Debbie and Curly moved to Colorado to be closer to her son and grandchildren as they grew up.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Kopcho, mother, Joan Dudley Kinsey, siblings Charles Kopcho and Margaret Kopcho Martin and partner Wilmer Hall.
She is survived by her only son, James Murano Jr. and 2 grandchildren, Jaymz and his wife Hannah Murano, and Jeremy Murano. Siblings include Richard Kopcho, Thomas Kopcho, Brian Kinsey, Diane Conti and Dawn Kinsey-Vozar, 15 nephews and nieces as well as great nephews & nieces.
A private family gathering took place following Debra's passing. Future arrangements will be made for her final resting place in Perth Amboy, New Jersey at The Cemetery of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption.
