Obituary

Dianne Stille was born on August 19, 1942, to Guy & Mary (Brassfield) Johnson and went to be with Jesus on July 16, 2022. She was greatly loved by her entire clan where she was a wonderful example of Jesus' love and also of courage in difficulty. She loved people, loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know Jesus. She was an avid student of the Bible and helped many others learn and apply its wisdom. She was an ardent member of the Church her entire life, where among many other things she organized a support group for parents of children with special needs. She helped her beloved husband of 53 years, Gene, to lead a Sunday School class for many years and also had a great love for music.

Dianne got her B.S. in nursing from Texas Women's University, her master's from University of Northern Colorado, and attended New Orleans Theological Seminary. She taught nursing at UNC and Aims Community College and worked in the nursing field for over thirty years. She was the Channel 9 Who Cares Volunteer of the Year for September 2012.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Gene; her loving children, Shawn (Becky) Stille and Dawn (Jobe) Costa; grandchildren who adored her, Rachel (Steven) Schmouder, Sarah Stille, Ashley Stille, Alexis Costa and T.J. Costa; great-grandson born June 30, 2022, Josiah Schmouder; and her brother Michael (Sylvia) Johnson and sister Margaret (Rick) Barnard who loved her dearly.
