Margery 'Margie' L. (Offerman) Motis, of Brighton, Colorado passed away on March 16, 2023.

Margie was born February 1, 1940 to Aloysius and Angela (Hoverman) Offerman in Manchester, Iowa. Margie was a graduate of Mount St. Gertrude High School in Boulder, Colorado. In December 1963, she married Robert 'Bob' Motis in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Margie grew up in Iowa until she and her family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado during the blizzard of 1949. She spent summers helping her family on the farm and riding her beloved horse 'Goldie', tourists to the area thought her and her sister were real western cowboys. She stayed at home as a caretaker for her Mom and Dad and then started working at a local bank. That is where a mutual friend set Margie and Bob up on a blind date. After they married they lived in Nebraska and she was busy raising three children who were all only 31 months apart. They moved to Leadville, Colorado in 1975 and Margie started a job as a pastry chef and cook at 'The Center' at Copper Mountain. Margie always had a love of horses, sewing, and baking. She was famous for her chocolate cake, cinnamon rolls, and her potato salad. She devoted her life to her children and beloved husband.

She is survived by a son Tim Motis of Fairbanks, Alaska; daughters, Chris Kerr of Westminster, Colorado and Janice Motis of Brighton, Colorado; brothers, Joe Offerman of Owensboro, Kentucky, Nick Offerman; grandchildren: Jonathan Jester of Virginia, Anna Marie Motis of Oregon, Dustin Kerr of California, Aaron Motis of Connecticut, Sydney Kerr of South Dakota, Jeneva, Jenessa, Jenae, and Charlie Motis all of Alaska, and 2 great grandchildren, Eleanor and Molly Jester of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Motis; parents Aloysius and Angela (Hoverman) Offerman, John Offerman, Mary (Offerman) Cowhick, Susan (Offerman) Towey and Janet 'Janie' (Offerman) Goar.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24 , 2023, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue in Greeley, Colorado.
