Michael Curtis Shrout, 71, of Greeley, Colorado was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, December 10, 1953, to Marvin C. Shrout and Marilyn Mulvahill Shrout.
He subsequently lived in Omaha NE, West Des Moines IA, Cedar Rapids IA, Littleton CO, Durango CO, and lastly, Greeley CO from 1980 until his death.
He married Cynthia Lee Smith in Durango, Colorado, on September 3, 1978. They had no children.
He worked for the Colorado Department of Transportation as a Roadway Designer from 1976 until retiring in 2006. He then worked for a couple of consultants, and lastly, he worked at Woodcraft in Loveland, selling wood and woodworking tools and supplies.
He is survived by his brother Brian Shrout (Cynthia), sister-in-law Traci Klovdahl (Nils), sister-in-law Gail Sheehy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his father, mother, and wife Cynthia.
