Norma (Sherrow) Barnaby 92, passed away at her home surrounded by her family August 15. She was born January 5, 1932, in Ozark, Missouri. Her family moved to Colorado a few years later. Norma graduated from Eaton High School in 1949 and married Paul Barnaby August 17, 1950. Together they raised two children, Mike and Jo.
Norma drove a school bus for Weld County School District, worked in the lab at the Eaton Sugar Factory during campaign and retired from Weld County General Hospital as a Unit Secretary.
She was a loving and caring mom, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Norma also provided a safe and loving home for all her rescue animals.
Norma was an amazing seamstress, making many barbie doll clothes for Jo as well as outfits during her school years. She spent many hours cross stitching pictures, sewing raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and various other projects. She was an avid reader, especially Stephen King. Before she injured her Achilles tendon, she enjoyed bowling and golf.
She had a long, beautiful life but had to endure the loss of many loved ones. Paul, Mike and Charlie left her much too soon.
Norma is survived by her daughter Jo Barnhart, daughter in law Mary Barnaby, granddaughter Brittney McCarty (Trevor) grandson Devin Barnhart (Sierra) and three great grandchildren. Daxton Barnhart, Tayven and Abrie McCarty.
A Memorial Service will be held August 26, at 1:00 at Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Ave Evans CO 80620.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, any local Animal Shelter or Boys Town.
