Patricia Jo Burroughs, 89, of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Meadowview Assisted Living in Greeley.

She was born March 24, 1936, to Robert Leroy and Emma Lou (Amen) Ruckman in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She grew up in Scottsbluff but moved to Lincoln at the age of 13 after the passing of her father. She graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to attend Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland where she obtained an RN degree. She later received a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Patricia worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Scottsbluff General Hospital, and as a District Nurse at Highland High School in Ault, Colorado from 1966-1973. She lived in Boulder from 1957-1961 before moving to a farm east of Ault from 1961-2012. She then moved to the Greeley Place Retirement Living from 2012 until 2018 and then entered Meadowview assisted living until the time of her passing.

She enjoyed attending school reunions, corresponding and encouraging others by sending greeting cards. She cared for her family by hosting holidays and other celebrations at their country home. Playing bridge, traveling, and going on outings were also things she enjoyed doing.

She is survived by her son, Anthony (VI) Burroughs, a daughter, Catherine Burroughs, and a granddaughter, Ciana Burroughs all of Ault, Colorado.

She was preceded by her husband, Robert Burroughs, her parents, Robert and Emma Ruckman, and a sister Judy Ruckman.
