Theresa Salgado

Theresa Salgado, 74, of Greeley, passed away on Friday March 19, 2021 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born February 22, 1947 to Teodoro A. Ornelas & Ma Nazarena Odilia Zamora and raised along with her step-father Andres Martinez in Chupaderos, New Mexico. Around 1960, she met the love of her life Leroy Salgado Sr. They spent many wonderful years together until he passed away in 2012. If anyone has ever had the opportunity to meet our Mother, you would automatically find an attachment to her, that would make you fall in love. Her smile was contagious. Her kindness spread throughout her lifetime and she has helped so many people along the way. When you would walk in her home, she always made sure you never left without eating. She loved company to talk and to dance. Theresa was employed by Eastman Kodak for 19 years and later retired. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Greeley and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, her brothers, sisters and relatives. Theresa was fortunate to be raised around her cousins that she loved so much, the Zamora family from Mora, New Mexico who in turn, loved and worshiped Theresa. She is survived by her son, Leroy, and wife Jennifer Salgado. daughters, Maxine Salgado, Betty Hernandez and Lisa Isaacs, brothers, Albert, Robert, Ricky & Glenn Martinez, and Teddy, Bobby, Mark, & Ronnie Ornelas, sisters, Susie Martinez, Joann Cisneros, Veronica Ornelas, 11 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Salgado, her parents, Teodoro Ornelas & Odilia Martinez, her step-father, Andres Martinez, a son Gabriel Salgado, Grandson Baby Bryan Mendoza a sister, Darlene Martinez, and a brother-in-law, Leroy Martinez. Theresa will be missed dearly, please continue to pray for her and the family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. A Liturgy of the Word will follow on Thursday, March 25, 2021 also at the Moser Chapel. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley.
