Amos Gabriel Lobato, 82, of Greeley, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Centennial Health Care. He was born October 13, 1939, in Fort Garland, Colorado to Manuel & Rosann (Quintana) Lobato. He graduated from Pierce High School in 1958, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He was also Homecoming King. On January 30, 1960, he married Barbara Vialpando in Laramie, Wyoming. He grew up in Pierce, Colorado and raised his family there. He moved to Greeley, Colorado where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a bus driver for the Highland School District where he drove the kids to school and their extracurricular activities, which included taking the Pep Club to away sporting events. He then worked as a machine operator at Kodak where he retired after 25 years. After retirement, he managed the Westview Apartments for 10 years. He was an avid big game hunter and loved camping and jeeping in the mountains. He passed down that tradition to his sons. Football was his other favorite past time, watching the CU Buffs, Notre Dame, and those Green Bay Packers. Surviving Relatives: his sons, Brian Lobato (Girlfriend, Nicki), Greeley, Troy Lobato (Spouse, Dana) of Windsor, a daughter, Pamela Lobato Garza (Spouse, Lewis) of Denver, a brother, Nick Lobato (spouse, Linda), 7 grandchildren, Derek, Mitchell, Jordan, Catrina, Cruz, Ty, and Taeya, 3 great grandchildren, Waylon, Eilish, Harlan and 2 God sons, Kim Lobato and Trevor Armijo. He was preceded by his parents, Manuel and Rosann (Quintana) Lobato, his spouse, Barbara V. Lobato, and his siblings, Molly Paddock, Cora Sanchez, Dora Sanchez, Ralph Lobato, Manuel Lobato, Lena Salas, Delfina Jaquez, Mercy Martinez, and Gilbert Lobato. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, in Evans, Colorado.
