Antonio Ramirez Marquez, 89 of Evans, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

He and his wife moved and settled into Greeley in 1974. Over the course of his life, he spent most of his time working in agriculture. He retired from North Weld Produce in 2013. Attending family gatherings and socializing were two of his favorite things. Watching Mexican films, especially with his favorite actor Antonio Aguilar, was one of his favorite pastimes. He loved to watch anything that had to do with horses such as Carreras de Caballos, Coliaderos, and Charriadas. He enjoyed his morning ritual of eating his pan dulce con cafe or his atolito.

He is survived by his 4 sons and their wives, Sergio and Rocio Ramirez, Juan Antonio and Lorena Ramirez, Jose Manuel and Nayelli Ramirez all of San Antonio, Mexico, Oracio and Rocio Ramirez of Greeley, Colorado; 6 daughters and their husbands, Ofelia and Alejo Garcia, Olga and Armando Conchas, Maria and Luis Avila all of Greeley, Colorado, Alicia and Fulgenico Santillano, Oralia and Oracio Haro of Evans, Veronica and Roberto Gutierrez of Longmont, Colorado; 42 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother Jose Ramirez and 6 sisters Ausillio Loma, Isidra De la Cruz, Felipa Ibarra, Chole Garcia, Agustina Martinez Maria De La Cruz.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister Carmen Ramirez De Garcia, and his son-in-law Alejo Garcia.

Mass of Christian Burial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street in Greeley. Recitation of Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26th at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Antonio's casket will be interred in Mexico later.
