    Floyd Robert Scofield

    June 6, 1929 - January 12, 2019

    Floyd Robert Scofield, 89 of Greeley, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Life Care Center in Greeley. He was born on June 6, 1929 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Roy and Alice (Newby) Scofield. On July 28, 1948 he married Floy L. Keener in Cheyenne. They lived in Eaton from 1954 – 71 and later lived in Greeley and Evans. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2003. Floyd later married Wilma Nimmons on February 14, 2004 at the First Assembly of God Church in Greeley. Mr. Scofield worked as a welder for Harsh Hydraulics in Eaton and later Hensel Phelps Construction in Greeley. He went on to open Scofield Architectural Metals, Inc. and he retired in the early 1990’s. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Scofield; a daughter and son-in-law, Deb and Pat Sherin of Greeley; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Doris Scofield of Evans and Jim and Judy Scofield of Eaton; brother-in-law, Steve Keener of Greeley, 3 step daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Randy Rowe of San Jose, California, Dathel and Lloyd Palmer of Marysville, Ohio and Daphne and Andrew Marvin of Paris, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Shane, Neil, Ryan and Nathan Scofield, Jerimy and James Sherin, Mindy Reiss, Jered and Jeremy Rowe and Saxon and Skye Marvin; 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Alice Scofield and 2 sisters, Pauline Lapp and Patsy Grant. A funeral service to celebrate Floyd’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the First Assembly of God Church, 3000 W. 16th Street. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18th at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Memorial gifts may be made to the First Assembly of God Church in memory of Floyd. They can be sent in care of Moser Funeral Service, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, Evans, Colorado 80620.
