Wayne E. Driver

October 17, 1947 - December 24, 2021

Wayne Driver, 74, of Evans, passed away on December 24, 2021, in Greeley, Colorado. Wayne was born on October 17, 1947, in Reidsville, North Carolina, to John Edgar and Cecilia Driver. After saving countless lives as a field medic in the Vietnam War, Wayne married the love of his life, Margie, in 1969. He became a pastor with the Foursquare Church and led many congregations for 30 years. He also served as a professor and dean at Life Bible College. After retiring from full time ministry, he became an addictions counselor, helping hundreds of men in prison find freedom from addiction. He spent his final years enjoying retirement, guest speaking at church services and loving his family. He was devoted to Jesus Christ and loved worship, prayer and the Book of Joshua (when the Israealites enter the Promised Land). Wayne is survived and forever loved by his wife of 52 years, Margie; daughters, Laura, Jennifer (Jason), Carrie (Chris), Amy; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Makeda (Hunter), Autumn (James), Winter, Nathaniel, Abigail, Javon, Suraya, Addie, Averie, Aiden; great-grandchildren Ethan, Charlotte, Alexander and Alliyah and his brother, Gordon (Rhonda). Life Celebration services will be held Friday, December 31, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at 23rd Avenue Church, 2332 W. 27th Street in Evans with a reception to follow at the church. Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery at a date to be determined.
