Alberto Luna DeLaCruz, 73, of Greeley, died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Triumph Hospital in Aurora. He was born on April 8, 1933 in San Antonio, Zacatecas, Mexico to Gregorio Luna and Maria Ramonda DeLaCruz. Alberto married Genoveva Vargas Haro in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico in 1956. Mr. Luna DeLaCruz was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on his house and visiting his friends at Lincoln Park in Greeley. He had lived in Greeley since 1977. Survivors include his wife, Genoveva Vargas of Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico; 2 sons, Pablo Luna of Greeley and Jose Rosario Luna of Ft. Collins; 4 daughters, Maria de Refujio Luna of Greeley, Ofelia Luna, Maria Dolores Luna and Adelina Luna all of Mexico; 2 brothers, Guadalupe Luna and Pedro Luna both of Mexico; 3 sisters, Rosa Luna, Socorro Luna and Consuelo Luna all of Mexico; 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2006 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Panteon Municipal Cemetery in Tlaltenango at a later date.
