Alma Elsie Bauer, 90, of Evans, Colorado died on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at her home.
She was born on July 3, 1917 in Nisland, South Dakota to George and Sadie (Schneider) Kobobel. She moved with her family to Greeley, Colorado in 1933 from Nisland.
Alma married Alex Stiley on September 12, 1937 in Greeley. He preceded her in death in 1943. She later married Ruben Bauer on February 22, 1946 in Greeley. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2000.
Mrs. Bauer was a homemaker, wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved to crochet and taught her only granddaughter Kelli. She also enjoyed reading cookbooks and recipes and watching cooking shows. She was a past member of St. John's United Church of Christ and had a deep abiding faith & trust in God.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Shirley Anderson-DePorter of Evans and Cheri Antista and her husband Ronald of Greeley; 4 grandchildren, Randy Anderson and his wife Sue of Eaton, Colorado, Rick Anderson of Kersey, Colorado, Michael Antista of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kelli Antista of Greeley; 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Schulke of Greeley, Colorado. In addition to her husbands, Alex Stiley and Ruben Bauer and her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Stiley; a brother and 3 sisters.
A funeral service to celebrate Alma's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment Linn Grove Cemetery.
