Amanda Dawn Kockrow Betsworth, 42, of Galeton, Colorado, died on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Amanda was born in North Platte, Nebraska on August 18, 1982, to Myron and Connie Kockrow. She grew up in the North Platte area and graduated high school from Maywood High School in 2000. She then attended Colby Community College and obtained an Associates of Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. In 2002, Amanda moved to Guymon, Oklahoma for a job as a PTA at Elite Physical Therapy. It was while she lived in Guymon that she met Brad Betsworth and married him on September 17, 2005. Amanda and Brad had their first child, Brayden Alan, on August 10, 2006. Olivia Dawn completed their family on August 8, 2009. In 2011, Amanda and Brad and the kids moved to Weld County and shortly after the move, purchased their acreage and home on County Road 65 which soon became a very intricate part of their lives. For the last five years, Amanda has been the Librarian at Galeton Elementary School, which was a very cherished role of hers. Amanda was a ray of light to everyone that she knew and was loved by so many. She loved to spend her time with all her family, watching her kids do their sports, tending to all her animals, especially her horses and dogs. One of Amanda's greatest passions was reading, and she always had a new book every time you saw her. She also loved piddling around the house and property, gardening, and always had a phone or camera in hand to capture all the special moments for so many.

Amanda is survived by her husband, Brad Betsworth of Galeton, Colorado, their two children, Brayden and Olivia, her parents Myron and Connie Kockrow of Wellfleet, NE, her sister Jessica Griffis and her husband Heath of Wheatland, WY and their two children Stetson and Rylee. Her in-laws include Greg Connellan and Diana Price of Aurora, CO, Brent and Teri Betsworth of Hugoton, KS, and Bethany Owens, her sister-in-law, and her husband Zack of Aurora, CO and their two children Ryann and Eva. Amanda is also survived by her County Rd 65 family, Eaton HS Wrestling family, Colorado HS Rodeo family, Weld Co. 4-H family, and Galeton Elementary School family.

Amanda's Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 9, at 1:00p.m. at Galeton Elementary School, in Galeton, Colorado. The family will be setting up memorial funds for both Galeton Elementary School and the Colorado High School Rodeo. The specifics of this information will be available and communicated soon.
