Obituary

Angela Moreno Enriquez, born October 2,1931, in Asherton Texas, and a longtime resident of Greeley, Colorado, passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving family.

Angela spent her early years in Asherton, Texas, where she lived until 1958. She later made her home in Ault, Colorado, until 1976, before settling in Greeley, where she remained for the remainder of her life.

On September 22, 1972, Angela married Antonio Enriquez in Greeley, Colorado. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, hard work, and many years of shared memories.

Angela knew the meaning of hard work from an early age. She worked as a migrant worker in Texas and Colorado before later dedicating herself to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. She worked in the Memory Care Unit, where her compassion and caring nature allowed her to provide comfort and support to those in her care.

Her faith was an important part of her life, and she attended Mosaic Church in Evans, Colorado.

Outside of work, Angela found happiness in the simple things that brought family together. She loved crocheting and especially enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved. She was also a devoted Colorado sports fan and enjoyed watching her favorite teams, the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.

Above all else, Angela treasured her family. She leaves behind a legacy carried forward by the many generations who loved her and whose lives were shaped by her presence.

Angela is survived by her husband, Antonio Enriquez of Greeley; her sons, Eddie Guerrero of Greeley, David Enriquez (Lisa), of Evans, Juan Enriquez of Greeley, and Esi Enriquez of Greeley; and her daughter, Maria “Janie” Ward of Greeley.

She is also survived by her brothers, Juan “Johnny” Moreno (Flora), of Evans, and Mario Moreno (Sue), of Greeley; her sister, Candelaria “Cande” Muro of Ault; as well as 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, each of whom was an important part of her life.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents, Valentin Moreno and Ysabel Sanchez; her brother, Pedro “Pete” Moreno; her sisters, Mary Pena, Josephina “Pepa” Cervantes and Margret “Maggie” Franco; and her great-grandchild, David Thomas Walker.

Angela will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her strong work ethic, her caring heart, her faith, and the love she showed through the many things she did for others. From the meals she prepared and the things she crocheted to the time spent cheering on her Broncos and Rockies, the memories she created will remain with her family for generations. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Mosaic Church, 3451 23rd Avenue, Greeley, Colorado.
