Anita (Gold) Yeo, 81, of Greeley died on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley. She was born November 26, 1928 in Edson, Alberta, Canada. Survivors: Her husband Merrill (Sonny) Yeo. Son Merrill Wayne Yeo and wife Carolyn of Salem, OR. Daughter Lori Gayle Swift and husband Charles of Greeley, CO. 3 Granddaughters, Cari Darnell and husband Warren Day of Overland Park, KS. Lisa Ann, husband Jeremy Brinkman and Great Grandson Seth Charles of Greeley, CO. Stacy Lynn, husband Daniel Brummer and Great Granddaughter Natalie Lynn of Vacaville, CA. Sisters Marion, Silvia and Doreen and lots of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents, William and Pauline Gold, brothers; Leonard, Jack, Harold, Charles and sisters; Eva and Lorretta. Tribute: She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. On June 9th, 1951 she married the love of her life, her husband Sonny. This year would mark their 59th wedding anniversary. They had their son Merrill in 1954 and their daughter Lori in 1957. She and Sonny moved from Canada in 1964 to Santa Ana, CA where she worked at Kerr Glass for 25 years. After retirement in 1990 she moved with her husband to Grants Pass, OR. In February of 1993 they came to Greeley to be close to their daughter and grandchildren. In her free time she loved travel and go on cruises. She was a member of the Greeley/Evans Moose Lodge and the La Salle Eagles. She loved country music, dancing and enjoyed playing card games, gambling, Bingo, crocheting and spending time with her friends and family. A memorial service to celebrate Anita's life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Evans V.F.W.
