Antonio Chavez Castillo, 65, of Greeley passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at North Colorado Medical Center.

He was born April 17, 1954 to Francisco Chavez Ibarra & Socorro Castillo in Chihuahua, Mexico. On November 3, 1984, he married Maria Francisca Aquilera in Greeley, Colorado.

Antonio was employed by Monfort/JBS from 1981-2016. He then worked in Maintenance at Stoney Brook for 2 years. He had a strong Christian faith and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Maria F. Chavez, his sons, Manuel, Ernesto, & Jorge Canedo, Frank & Nehemiah Chavez, and Hipolito Carlos Cruz, a daughter, Christina Chavez, his brothers, Pedro, Socorro, Carlos, Francisco, Manuel and Ramon Chavez, his sisters, Bertha Alicia Najera, Guadalupe Gutierrez, and Porfiria Coral, 30 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Chavez Ibarra and Socorro Castillo and a sister, Maria Atocha Chavez.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:30 a.m. May 5, 2020 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Linn Grove Cemetery.
