Obituary

Arlene L. Trahan, 95, of Greeley passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Meadowview of Greeley Assisted Living.

Arlene was born on December 18, 1920 in Jackman, Maine to George & Georgiana (Paradis) Poulin. She graduated from South Berwick Catholic High school in South Berwick, Maine.

She married Henry George Trahan on October 7, 1941 in Glendale, California. She worked as a secretary and I.D. clerk for Lockheed in Sunnyvale, California.

Mrs. Trahan attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Greeley. Her greatest joys were walking the beaches in California, camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Family was very important to her. She was a loving and devoted wife to George, her husband of over 75 years, She is well remembered for her kindness and concern for others. Her famous crepes for breakfast and pot roast for dinner were favorite meals for her grandchildren. She took great delight in seeing her great granddaughter learn to walk and play.

Survivors include her husband, Henry George Trahan; a son and his wife, Richard G. and Marcy Trahan of Port St. Joe, Florida; a brother, Patrick Poulin of Westbrook, Maine; 2 grandchildren, Nicole Trahan and Jonathan Trahan and his wife Ashley, all of Greeley; and a great granddaughter, Brooklyn Marie Trahan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Georgiana Poulin; 2 brothers, Ralph and Raymond Poulin; and 2 sisters, Lillian Poulin and Celeste Nichols.

A Remembrance Reception/Open House will be held from 1:00-3:30 pm on December 17, 2016, at their home, 4250 West 16th St., Unit 19 at Mayfair Green.
