Arlis Ann Morris, 77 of Greeley died Sunday, September 7, 2014, at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. She was born June 23, 1937, in Armour, South Dakota, to Carl and Gladys Schroeder. Arlis grew up in Armour, South Dakota and graduated from Armour High School in 1955. She attended Yankton College in South Dakota earning a teaching certificate. On Aug. 4, 1957, she married Larry V. Morris in Armour, SD. Arlis Morris taught elementary school and later worked as office manager and bookkeeper while living in Denver, CO. Arlis also worked at Journal Office Supply in Sterling, Colorado for many years. After moving to Greeley, CO, she worked with her son, Michael Morris at the family business, Auto Collision Specialists as the Office Manager. Arlis loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. Her interests were crafting, sewing, gardening, antiques, collecting records and going to Central City with her friends. She will always be remembered for her commitment to her family, her strength and positive attitude dealing with cancer and her ability to consistently beat the odds. Survivors are her three children, Angela Morris and Derek Fielder of Denver, Cynthia Nelson and husband Russ of Denver and Michael Morris and wife Debbie of Kersey; and four grandchildren; Ryan, Chastin, Anne and Amanda. A celebration of Arlis' life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
