Arthur Henry Lucero, 75, of Greeley, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2016.
He was our brother, brother-in-law, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a friend to all.
He was a very special person to all of us. He always had a smile on his face, a very happy person. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born April 11, 1940 in La Junta, Colorado to Ben R. and Margaret Lucero. He grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. He enjoyed working on cars and fixing them and sometimes he would sell them. He enjoyed going camping and fishing with his sons, grandkids, and great-grandkids, and also traveling with his family.
On May 18, 1960, he married Elsie Florez in Pueblo, Colorado. “She was the love of his life”.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Ruby Lucero and Rose Lucero of Pueblo, Colorado, son, Art Jr. Lucero of Greeley, Colorado, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Bernice Gonzales, Mary Flores, and Eva Lucero of Greeley, Colorado and Lillian Orozco of Georgia; 3 brothers-in-law, Tony D. Flores, Simon Gonzales, and Louie Ortega of Greeley, Colorado; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, and a daughter.
Services will be held at Victory Outreach Church, 2626 11th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634 on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
