Augustine V. Chairez, 61, of Greeley died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the Bonell Good Samaritan Center. He was born June 2, 1948 to Manuel & Juanita (Valenzuela) Chairez in Casa Grande, Arizona. He married Ruth Chairez and to that union 3 children were born: Adam, Sophia & Abigail. They later divorced. Augustine was a member and minister for the Apostolic Assembly Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, loved older vehicles and reminiscing and telling stories about old times. He is survived by his son, Adam Chairez and wife Kristi of Greeley, daughters, Sophia Chairez of Greeley and Abigail Chairez of Greeley, 4 grandchildren, Angel Lopez, Jacob Lopez, Alexia Chairez and Marissa Rodriguez; his sisters; Adelita Mejia of Casa Grande, Arizona, Nellie Reyes of Greeley, Martha Montez of Bakersfield, California, Stella Serbin of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Rosie Avantes of Bakersfield, California. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation on Monday, July 20th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Ave. in Evans. Funeral service Tuesday, July 21st at 10:00 a.m. also at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel. Interment Evans Cemetery.
