Barbara V. Lobato, 72 of Greeley, died on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the Centennial Health Care Center.
She was born on February 10, 1941 in Chama, Colorado to Eloy and Beatrice (Trujillo) Vialpando.
Barbara married Amos Lobato on January 30, 1960 in Laramie, Wyoming. The couple moved to Pierce, Colorado from Laramie in 1960 where they lived until moving to Greeley in 1994. She enjoyed making crafts, shopping and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Amos Lobato of Greeley; 2 sons, Brian Lobato of Greeley and Troy Lobato and wife Dana of Windsor; a daughter and her husband, Pamela Lobato Garza and Lewis of LaSalle; 4 brothers and their wives, Augie and Velma Vialpando, Lorenzo and Louise Vialpando, Stan and Sue Vialpando and Edward and Blanca Vialpando all of Laramie; 2 sisters, Adeline Armijo and Marlene Vialpando both of Laramie and 7 grandchildren, Derek, Mitchell, Jordan, Ty, Taeya, Catrina and Cruz. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eloy and Beatrice Vialpando.
Visitation 4-7:00 p.m. Thursday with Rosary following at 7:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th Street, Greeley.
