Beatrice "Bea" Brown, 68 of Greeley, died on Monday, August 11, 2008 at the Hospice & Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit in Greeley. She was born on February 29, 1940 in Olathe, Colorado to Charles E. and Emma Mae (Thatcher) Carey. She attended school in Grand Junction, Colorado. Bea married George Lee Brown on June 4, 1957 in Delta, Colorado. They have lived in Greeley since 1965. Survivors include her husband, George L. Brown of Greeley; 2 daughters, Joyce Ellen White of Ault, Colorado and Rita Faye Servin of Loveland, Colorado; 5 sons, George Edward Brown of Greeley, Colorado, Ronald Lee Brown of Fallon, Nevada, James Roger Brown of Ault, Colorado, Billy Ray Brown of Greeley, Colorado and Larry Dean Brown of San Antonio, Texas; 2 sisters, Hazel Brown of Greeley, Colorado and Betty Ulrich of Greeley, Colorado; 2 brothers, James Carey of Prescott, Arizona and Dean Longstreet of Corvallis, Oregon and 18 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Carey; a grandson, Brian Brown and 3 sisters, Bessie Carey, Shirley Pitts and Ludie Ratliff. A funeral service to celebrate Beatrice's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 3525 W. 6th Street in Greeley. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday at the church. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
