Beatrice Cordova, 71, of Lucerne, passed away at her home on Monday, September 21, 2015.

Beatrice was born on February 16, 1944 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Filadelphio and Desideria (Casias) Martinez.She attended Buell School through 8th grade. She met Joe Cordova and fell in love, and on October 26, 1959, they married at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Together they would move and settle in Lucerne, Colorado. They were married 56 years. Mrs. Cordova worked at Fashion Bar from 1980-1990.

Beatrice loved her family and always enjoyed talking with them. She always wanted to go up the “hill”.

Mrs. Cordova is survived by her husband, Joe; her sons, Steve, Paul, David, and Randy Cordova; her daughters-in- law, Karla Shapley-Cordova, Laura Cordova, and Cassandra Cordova; her sisters-in-law, Jennie Martinez, Nora Martinez, Julia Martinez, Annie Martinez and Velma Weston; and 5 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Filadelphio and Desideria and her brothers, Charlie, Johnny, Lee, Alfred, Eddie, Andy, and a sister, Lupita.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, with a Recitation of Rosary following at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street in Greeley. Interment will follow at the Linn Grove Cemetery.
