Ben Manzanares, 67 of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in Loveland.
He was born on August 27, 1951 in Greeley to Rudy and Francis (Jaramillo) Manzanares. He graduated from Eaton High School in 1969. He later attended Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado on a swimming scholarship.
Mr. Manzanares married Janice Brodie on September 27, 1996 at the First Christian Church in Greeley. He loved to spend time with his wife Jan, his kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his extended family.
Ben attended Christ Community Church. He was baptized in 2012 at the Bethel Family Praise Center in Eaton, Colorado. He was a master pool player and always loved a good round of golf.
Survivors include his wife Jan Manzanares of Greeley; his mother, Frances Jaramillo Escajeda; a son, Gabe Manzanares and wife Anna of Denver, Colorado; 4 daughters, Lori and Amy Manzanares both of Wyoming, Lisa Brodie-Zaffree and husband Glenn of Greeley and Treasa Brodie-Cardenas and husband Toby of Greeley, Colorado; 3 brothers, David and Joseph Mitchell and Jose Morado, Jr.; 4 sisters, Marshlyn Garcia Rogers, Lynda Moreno, Candice Morrisey and Sylvia Anthony; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Rudy Manzanares, a brother, Roger Manzanares and a sister, Frances “Ponch” Donahue.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A private family visitation will be held.
