Benancio "Benny" Ramon Alvarado, 63, of Greeley, passed away on September 27, 2025, at his home.
He was born October 27, 1961, in Greeley, Colorado to Ramon and Lupe (Pisaña) Alvarado.
After graduating from Greeley Central High School in 1980, he went on to serve in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he worked for many different companies including Bestway Paving, Coulson Excavating, Barlett Energy, and LaFarge Holcim.
On October 20,1991, he married Raquel Mendoza in Las Vegas, Nevada and two sons and a daughter were born to this union. They later divorced.
Benny was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church where he served as an altar boy and the Boy Scouts when he was younger. He enjoyed fishing, trap shooting, hunting, baseball and football. His talent at playing the saxophone led to playing in numerous bands for many years.
He is survived by his mother, Lupe Alvarado, his sons, Carlos Benancio Alvarado and Rico Alejandro Alvarado, 3 sisters, Eldia Martinez, Elaria Alvarado, and Aurelia Chacon.
He was preceded by his daughter, Daniella Rosita Mendoza-Alvarado, his father, Ramon Y. Alvarado, and his brother, Ignacio Alvarado.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4-7:00 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. A reception will follow at Almanza's Mexican Food, 3520 11th Avenue in Evans starting at 6:00 p.m.
