Obituary

Bertha Romero, 86, of La Salle, passed away peacefully at her home.

Bertha was born in San Acacio, Colorado to John F. and Estrella Bedan. She married Clyde Romero on September 28, 1952, in Greeley, Colorado.

Bertha was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved her family. She liked traveling, fishing, and loved entertaining on holidays. She was the eldest in her family. They moved from San Acacio to the Eaton, Peckham, La Salle, and Hardin areas in northern Colorado in search of work and a better life. Bertha met Clyde Romero, her husband of 68 years in La Salle at the train crossing; notoriously known for stopping travelers for long periods of time. They had a beautiful marriage and were always together. Now with the Lord.

Bertha is survived by her children Brenda (Timothy) Dutton of La Salle and Clyde Jr. (a.k.a. Yogi) of La Salle. She is also survived by her siblings: Erma Duran, Diane (Frank/Gilbert) Guerrero, Ben (Becky) Bedan and Sara (Ernie) Gonzales, as well as three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Romero, Sr., her parents and infant granddaughter Danielle Estrella Romero.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bertha's name to Pathways Palliative Care and Hospice, in care of Moser Funeral & Cremation, 3501 S. 11th Ave. Evans, CO 80620.

Private graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley.
