Berton Lloyd “Bert” Meyers, 74 of LaSalle passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born on January 26, 1942 in Greeley to Lloyd and Vera (Burrows) Meyers. He graduated from Greeley High School in 1960.

Mr. Meyers married Peggy Ann Kerns on March 14, 1964 in Greeley. They have lived in LaSalle since 1976.

Bert owned and operated ABC Transmissions in LaSalle for over 30 years. He loved drag racing, building model cars and airplanes. He had a special interest in history, especially WWII airplanes.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Meyers of LaSalle; a daughter and her husband, Traci and Ted Burtnett of Loveland; a son and his wife, Bart and Shon Meyers of Aurora; ; 10 grandchildren, Hillary Burtnett, Samantha Jones and husband Hank Jones, Drew Johnson and fiance Stephanie Bates, Savannah Burtnett, Kendall Burtnett, Kaela Meyers, Shelbey Meyers, Shyanne Meyers, Kolton & Kelsey Meyers; 1 great grandchild Sawyer Jones from Samantha & Hank Jones; a stepmother, Mickey Meyers of Evans and a brother and his wife, Harold and Diana Meyers of Watkins, Colorado. And Nephews Brett and Annette Meyers and Bryan and Melissa Meyers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Vera Meyers and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service to celebrate Bert’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
