Obituary

Heaven welcomed another angel as our Beth Ann Tucker entered her heavenly home on July 4, 2017. Beth was born April 9, 1953. She was welcomed by her parents Henry and Rose (Schneider) Harding. She grew up in LaSalle, attending schools throughout the Valley school district.

She graduated in 1970 from Valley High School, and she began attending University of Northern Colorado. She graduated in 1974 with her Bachelors degree in Education with a focus on special education. She always loved being around kids and desired to reach out to those who could benefit with her constant support and patience.

Beth married the love of her life, Charles Tucker on March 17, 1974. Completely devoted to Charles (Chuck), she took on the role of wife in a dairy farming family while her career took a turn into sales and then management roles with K-Mart in Greeley. She loved making new friends and made many throughout her twenty years with K-Mart. In 1997, her heart called her back to the kids she loved teaching and she returned to teaching in the Highland, and later Valley School districts in special classes. Her students would see her outside the classroom and call to her “Mrs. Tucker, Mrs. Tucker” and she never forgot a name. She was always their biggest fan and advocate.

Beth was very proud of her German heritage and through the years she and Chuck would find many of their collections connected to their shared heritage. Beth was an avid doll collector as well as doll house collector. She and Chuck would travel with their antique cars to various shows. She loved travelling and would make sure to learn something from everywhere she went. She was thrilled to see Phantom of the Opera in the Queen’s Theatre in London. She had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, Germany, England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Beth did not know a stranger and all were welcomed by her. While she had a worldly view, she was happiest caring for and loving her animals through the years– especially their Schnauzers- Sashi, Maxi, Cody, Rudy Fritzy, Heidi, and one very special cat Tigger, who would not leave her side even though she was about to join the Lord.

She is succeeded into heaven by her parents Henry and Rose Harding. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Chuck Tucker, a brother Chuck (Julie) Harding & Family, Brother in Law Iven (Irene) Tucker, and Sister in law Debbie (John) Brethauer. Many nieces and nephews Scott (Candi) Tucker, Jason (Jolene) Tucker, Kristi (Chris) O’Rourke, and Haley & Tucker Morrell. Great nieces and nephews Emily & Andrew Tucker, Kyle & Cami O’Rourke, and Betty Tucker.

She loved her church family at the Carr Community Church so it is only fitting that her celebration of her life and reception will be held there on July 15th at 11:30am in Carr, Colorado.
