Betty Lavern Bean's Obituary
Betty Lavern Bean, 90, of Greeley, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Life Care of Greeley.
She was born February 7, 1926 to Joseph and Lorena (Young) Schwelka in Rouse, Colorado. She graduated high school in Florence. She was an activities director at Skyline Nursing Retreat, a kitchen cook at Greeley West High School for seventeen years, and worked at L & I Family Market for nine years. She married John A. Bean, Jr. on September 1, 1945. She was a member of the Rebekah's Club.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry (Ivana) Bean and Gary (Sue) Bean, three grandsons, Todd, Chad and Wade Bean, nine great grandchildren Chelsea, Cody, Kylee, Garrett, Logan, Cade, Carter, Langdon and Seth Bean, and one great-great granddaughter, Gemma Tiff.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Bean, Jr.; her parents, Lorena and Joe Schwelka, brother, Norman Schwelka, and two grandsons, John William Bean and Travis Austin Bean.
A memorial service for Betty will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 2, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue, in Evans.
