Betty Jo Gage, 92, of Grover, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at North Colorado Medical Center.

Betty Jo was born August 3, 1931, to John M. & Mary E. (Carter) Wells in Phoenix, Arizona. On July 5, 1953, she married Clayton Gage in Carson City, Nevada. The couple moved to Grover, Colorado in 1989 and remained there at the time of Betty's passing.

Betty Jo worked as a bookkeeper and telephone operator before settling into her favorite job as homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren. She attended church in Briggsdale where she was a member of the choir. Her love for the outdoors included gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Clayton Gage, a son, David Gage, 2 daughters, Pamela Poush and Joan Rowell, a brother, Arthur Wells, a sister, Barbara Moore, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, John & Mary Wells, brothers, James and John Wells, and sisters, Eva Capachinno, Rosalee Long, Vena Simpson, and Marie McCool.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans, Colorado. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
