Betty Louise (Bailey) Haythorn, 87 of Eaton, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the Life Care Center in Greeley. She was born on November 3, 1923 in Greeley, Colorado to Harry and Gladys (Dentry) Bailey. Betty graduated from Eaton High School in 1942 and she later attended Monticello College in Illinois for one year. She went on to work for Neusteter's in Denver and then accepted a position as a teller in 1945 at the Bank of America in San Fernando, California. She then moved back to Eaton and was employed at the Eaton Bank. She was a member PEO Chapter AB of Eaton for 69 years and the Alger Memorial United Methodist Church of Eaton. She loved painting, gardening and numerous crafts. On February 15, 1946 Betty married John R. "Bob" Haythorn. They moved west of Eaton where they fed cattle, sheep and farmed. Survivors include her sons and daughter n law; Perry and Janet Haythorn and Roy Haythorn all of Eaton; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Gladys Bailey, her husband of 39 years, John R. "Bob" Haythorn and daughter in law, Deanna Haythorn. Services for family only will be held and her urn will be laid to rest at a later date in the Eaton Cemetery.
