Betty Jean Kerr, 88 of Greeley, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the North Colorado Medical Center. She was born on July 21, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio to Charles and Mazie (Musser) Hoffmaster. Betty Graduated from Springfield, Ohio in 1945. She married Harold G. Kerr on May 25, 1945 in Youngstown Ohio. Betty and her husband traveled from Ohio to Arizona, Texas and finally settled In Colorado in 1963. Betty worked for Mtn. Bell Telephone for 20 years retiring in 1984. She was life time member of Telephone Pioneers of America, a member of the Red Hats, Mtn. Bell Trimlines, Eldergarden of Greeley and the Evans Senior Center. After Retirement Betty and her husband traveled to Hawaii, Las Vegas, and spent time camping and fishing. After her husband's passing, she traveled with her daughters. Betty's greatest joy was spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include 4 daughters, Linda Webster (Ralph) of Greeley, Sandi Dotter (Clay) of Walsenburg, Beth Lively of Evans and Dawn Melby (Red) of Greeley; 7 Grandchildren, Shawn Luis (Mike), Patrick Ridpath (Pam), Sonya Dewitt (John), Michelle Bowman(Jeff), Christopher Dotter(Tara), Catherine LaPorte (Billy) and Danielle Lidiak.(Dylan Donoghue); 20 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved dog Jackie. She is preceeded in death by her husband, Harold Kerr in 1993, a daughter, Dianne Kerr and 2 sisters, Thelma "Skip" Yasechko and Charlene Vinkler. A memorial service to celebrate Betty's Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
