Betty M. (Doughty) Shaw, 91 of Greeley died on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Kenton Manor nursing home in Greeley. She was born on May 5, 1920 in Marshall County, Oklahoma to I.R. and Elmer (Bearden) Orum. Betty married C. R. Doughty on Sep 26,1936 He preceded her in death on June 8,1984. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working with her hands; quilting, crocheting and knitting. Betty was also a very good cook, she owned and managed restaurants in Texas and Sterling, CO. Survivors include 2 daughters, Martha and husband Sid Wilke of Eaton and Trish Martinson of Evans; 2 sons, Van Doughty of Wellington and Kenneth Doughty and wife Susan of Littleton; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by 3 daughters, Linda Kay Doughty, Leona Dupont and Pauline Kerksiek and 2 grandsons, Michael Doughty and Donald Hastings. A memorial service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans.
