Betty Wright, 80 of Eaton, walked into the arms of Jesus on August 30, 2018 at North Colorado Medical Center.
She was born in Kansas City Kansas on November 30, 1937 to Lenos and Eva Covington.
Betty was married to Elzie Wright in June 16, 1961 in Santa Ana California. Together they raised four children; Danny, Dwaine, Debbie and David.
Betty received two years of college from Southern California College in Costa Mesa California. She was able to be a stay at home mom while her children were young. Once her children were older she worked at Cobe Laboratories in Quality Control. She then spent many years providing a loving day care environment for young children.
She has always been active in her church family at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, Colorado and then Evangelical Free Church of Eaton. Betty enjoyed ministering in nursing homes, camping with her family and keeping the birds in her back yard well fed and watered.
She is survived by her husband Elzie, all four of her children, eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, her brother Don Covington and her sisters Rosemary Snyder and Dixie Knoche.
Betty has been preceded in death by her first husband Reverend Aubry Ashburn, both of her parents, her brothers David Covington, Glen Covington, Joe Covington and her granddaughter Hope Harbin.
A service to honor the life of Betty will be held at Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd Street, on Tuesday September 4th. The viewing will start at 2:00 PM with the service at 3:00 PM. There will be a reception after the service.
