Bonnie Jean Stoll Brethauer, 76, of Greeley passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Poudre Valley Hospital after a valiant battle with lymphoma.

She was born June 13, 1941 to Alex and Alma (Hill) Stoll in Greeley, CO. Bonnie graduated from Greeley High School in 1959 and Colorado State College of Education in 1963 with a Bachelor’s degree. She married William D. Brethauer on November 22, 1964. To this marriage 3 daughters were born, Julie Ann, Sheryl Kay, and Cynthia Mae.

Most of Bonnie’s career was spent working in the real estate and auctioneering business. She worked for Austin and Austin and spent the last 28 years of her career at Kreps and Wiedeman Auctioneers and Real Estate as a secretary and broker associate until retiring in 2011.

Bonnie was a sweet, kind, and selfless person with an extremely easy-going, calm, and thoughtful manner. Family was everything to her and she always put their needs first. Bonnie enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, tending to her flower garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid and enthusiastic Denver Broncos fan. She was instrumental in designing and fundraising for the Purple Heart monument located in the Weld County Veterans Memorial for Chapter 434 of the M.O.P.H.

Survivors include her beloved partner of 44 years Jack A. Roberts Jr., her daughters Julie Strand of Akron, CO, Sheryl (Rick) Schroth of Greeley, CO and Cynthia (Tim) Held of Denver, CO, as well as grandchildren Maggie (Mike) Werner, Matthew Strand, Mick (Miranda) Strand, Marty Strand, Haley Schroth, Justin Schroth, Paige Held, and Kaylee Held. Great grandchildren include Kolton Strand , Konnor Strand, and Bryson Strand. She is also survived by her sister Judy (Oren) Nero of Eaton, CO, sister-in-law Myrna Stoll of Greeley and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Alma Stoll, brother Anthony Stoll, niece Wendy Anderson, and nephew Clint Stoll.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans with service following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in care of Moser Funeral and Cremation Service.
