Bonnie May Francis July 26, 1947- April 16,2008 Bonie May Francis, 60, of Greeley, died April 16 at her home. She was born on July 26, 1947 in Massena, Iowa to Vern W. & Elizabeth G. (Austin) Whitaker. On August 20,1966, she married Morris I. Francis in Greeley. They immediately moved to Grand Island, NE where she completed her X-Ray training and went on to be an X-Ray Technician at Lutheran Hospital. This is the same hospital where her first two children would be born. They moved back to Eaton, Co in 1972 and had their third child in 1973. Bonnie was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed staying at home with her three children and being a homemaker. Throughout the years, she has several outside careers and home based businesses including; being an X-Ray tech, a seamstress, drafter, working for the forest service and radiology transcription. She did transcriptions for many years at NCMC and finally from home. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her 7 grandchildren and baking homemade goodies for them. She is best known for her incredible skills at cross-stitching. She was also very active in her church at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton and loved to share her faith in Jesus Christ with those around her. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Morris Iler of Greeley; her son Gregory A Francis and his wife Jo Ellen of Elgin, Tx; 2 daughters, Amelia S. Erdogan and her husband Murat of Hillsboro, OR and Katheryn M Francis of Greeley, Co, 7 Grandchildren and a brother, Steven W. Whitaker of Thousand Oaks, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents; Vern W. and Elizabeth G. Whitaker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, 1325 3rd St. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be in the Eaton Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the Evangelical Free Church of Eaton, to be used for the benevolent fund or to Hospice of Greeley.
