Brenda Jean Porter, 63, of Johnstown, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the Windsor Health Care Center.

She was born September 26, 1953 to Audrey & Bertha (King) Hearn in Rockford, Illinois. On March 31, 2007, she married Eugene “Vic” Porter in Houma, Louisiana. She moved to Johnstown in May of 2014. Brenda loved spending time with her family and was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her husband, Vic Porter of Johnstown, a son Karl Wilhelm Liebich of Oklahoma, a daughter, Lisa Marie Ventimiglio of Michigan, 2 brothers, Johnny Audrey Hearn of Mississippi, and Danny Joe Hearn of Texas, and 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, Audrey & Bertha Hearn and a sister Teresa Nell Fowler.

Visitation will be Thursday May 18, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 19, 2017 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lay Cemetery in Benton, Louisiana.
