Brent Matthew Thompson, 41, passed to his heavenly reward on February 15, 2021 following a heart attack at his home in Fort Collins.
Brent was born September 4, 1979 in Powell, Wyoming to Roger and Rose Thompson. The family enjoyed the outdoors of Powell and the Yellowstone area prior to moving to Casper, WY, Williston, ND and finally back to Colorado, living in Eaton for Brent's High School years. He enjoyed golf, basketball, and particularly baseball in Eaton. He attended the University of Colorado in Boulder following High School graduation.
Most recently Brent was residing in Fort Collins and was encouraged with a new job and apartment. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad and friends. He delighted in watching his nephews grow and change.
Brent is survived by his parents, Roger and Rose Thompson of Eaton, sister and brother-in-law Allisa and Ty Woodworth of Windsor and their boys Jackson, Alexander and Hunter. He is also survived by one grandmother, Dottie Thompson of Fort Morgan; aunts and uncles Pat and Steve Baker of Woodrow, Jim and Kim Zwetzig of Fort Morgan, David Zwetzig of Wickenberg, AZ, Dwayne and Peggy Thompson of Fort Morgan, and Lori and Kirk Patterson of Fort Collins; cousins Joe Baker, Deanna and Brad Schrock, Ken Baker, Amanda and Roy Weisensee, Mike and Mandi Zwetzig, Jill and Eric Broce, Tony Zwetzig, Ryan and Elizabeth Thompson, Jana and Greg Mondragon, Chad and Kacie Patterson, Derek and Kaitlyn Patterson, and Mark and Olivia Patterson.
Brent was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Harold Thompson and maternal grandparents Edward and Catherine Zwetzig.
