Brittney Taylor McBurney Gallegos, 18 of Greeley passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at her home.

She was born July 8, 1999 to Bennie Joe & Brenda Sue (McBurney) Gallegos in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Horizon High School in Thornton in 2017 and went on to attend Bollman Technical School, Metro State, and most recently Aims Community College seeking a degree in Pre-Med. Brittney was very creative and used her talent as a painter, seamstress, and clothing designer. She volunteered at the Colorado Bunny Rescue and at Lutheran Hospital in Wheatridge.

She is survived by her parents, Bennie & Brenda Gallegos, her brothers, Jordan Gallegos and Tristan McBurney-Bennett, sisters Jo’Vonn Gallegos Chavez and Ja’Nae Gallegos, her grandparents, Ken & Joan McBurney and Linda McBurney, and 4 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Margie Ortega.

Visitation will be held from noon-2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. A reception to celebrate Brittney’s life will follow at 6600 W. 20th St. Unit 5 in Greeley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to ASPCA or the Weld County Humane Society in care of Moser Funeral Service.
