Laython Kent Dimmick, 74 of Greeley, passed away Monday November 24, 2014 at Hospice of Northern Colorado. He was born July 17, 1940 in Ft. Morgan, Colorado, to Ted and Sylvia Dimmick (Young).

Butch graduated from College High School in 1959 were he was active in sports. He earned a Fire Science Degree from Aim Community College. He retired from the Greeley Fire Department in 1990. In his retirement years he worked for AAA Lawn Service for 13 years.

He is survived by his wife Erma and daughters Amy Maurer, Maureen Sellers (Noel) and grandchildren Ashley, Kasandra, Shawn and Dustin. Sisters: Sylvia McWilliams and Deronda Dimmick. Brothers: Darwin (Bernice), Wayland (Linda), Gordon (Marian), Thayne (Diane), and his close nephew Shannon Daughtrey (Marlys) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in place of flowers you make a contribution in memory of “Laython Dimmick” to The International Fire Fighters Educational Fund. Per Butch’s final request no services will be held.
